Briggs and Taylor chillin on the way!

Ahh..I just actually spent a whole day and a half NOT thinking about work!  Ok OK maybe that is a teeny tiny lie BUT I did not touch my computer - how’s that? :)

Sean, Briggs, Taylor (the dog) and I headed to the cabin yesterday afternoon for some much needed fun - umm..yes, I did just get back from 3 weeks in Canada but this was different :)  We were all together!

Playin in the dirt, walking down to the dock and generally just hanging out as a family.  The fresh air and playing outside was awesome-and we all slept for almost 12 hours last night!

Ok, back to reality :)  - don’t worry, all orders from this weekend are going out on time!  We don’t take too long of a break!

Have a great Sunday night with your family!

Jurnee Products - Celebrate the transitions in life

Earth friendly materials and fun yet simple designs make the Jurnee products perfect for new siblings and new moms!

I met these two friends turned entrepenuers at 2 of the NW Enterprising Moms events this year.  Beside being just about the nicest people on the planet (they will enter into an engaging conversation - even when they are REALLY REALLY busy :) ) they also have transformed their passion into a product that is well made and thoughtful while still being fun.

New Mama Kit

The New Mama Kit launched this year and is a PERFECT shower gift or just because a Mama deserves some spoiling!  Each kit has a bag -5 seriously cute designs to choose from! - stocked full of:

  • a box of four (4) Theo (TM) chocolates, Seattle’s premier organic chocolatier
  • a custom blend “Mama Warrior” tea for those sleepless nights
  • a short book of Words of Wisdom with advice and anecdotes from other mamas
  • a tin of french lavender-scented bath salts
  • a fabric covered photo album, perfect for toting photos of the new baby
  • a lavender, flax seed and rice pad that can be heated in the microwave, perfect for soothing an aching back or a c-section scar
  • Did I mention this was a great gift?  I will be sure to let the world know when #2 comes - remember this :) LOL

The Big Brother and Big Sister kits and gift sets are where the “Jurnee began”- and they are SO cute (without being over the top crazy cutesy..classic Seattle understated cute in fact :) ).  My friends better start having MORE kids so I can spoil their siblings with these sweet sets.

My favorite is the Siblings Sprouted Gift Set.

    Siblings Sprouted Gift Set

Check this out - the big brother or sister gets an organic T that says “Seedling” and the new baby gets a “Sprout” T!  How seriously cute is that!? Also included in the gift set is a pack of seeds with planting instructions to commemorate this exciting transition. All packed up and ready for giving.  What sibling duo would not want this?!

So support a Momma or two out and go buy this latest find.  You won’t be sorry!

    It takes a Village!

The last month or so I have learned a profound lesson in small business growth.

The transition from “I” to “We”.  As a small business owner that has created and grown a business from a glimmer of an idea to where we are today this is a major mile stone.

If you haven’t been able to tell from my silence - The Wilson’s have been on vacation!  While Chief Momma, Pappa, and B sunned by the lake Lots 2 Say Baby did not take even a moment off.  The support required to keep our business thriving while we frolicked in Cottage Country was amazing.  In fact, with a little hands off time on the day to day logistics we were able to spend time planning our future - and the impact was immediately apparent!

None of it would have been possible without April - our uber sweet teacher turned professional organizer neighbor.

Tip #308 - always go with an organized person when handing over the keys to your livelihood.  We were lucky - not everyone gets a teacher and organizer to run your fulfillment center!

April tirelessly worked to fill orders and generally ran the office in a more organized way than I thought ever possible.

She was brilliant and proactive - totally putting my mind at total ease!

    -And-

Did I mention she was 9 months pregnant!?  Our calls covered everything from orders out to home to time contractions!

I’m writing about April today because we just could not do what we do every day with out her.  Even as she timed contractions she worried about all the stores getting pacis on time.

So, THANK YOU April.  For your drive and commitment to our stores when you have so much else to think about.  Thank you for being such an amazing friend.

It takes a village, and we are so lucky to have you in our lives!

    Woot! Woot!
