ABC Kids Expo - getting closer!Posted: September 3, 2009 at 12:28 pm | byFiled under: Company News We are getting excited for the ABC show coming up Sept 13th! Samples have been shipped. Banners and brochures are at the printer (I am always so last minute!). Our new products are in production and will be unveiled at the show. Our new logo and look will be launching too! It is all coming together - so I actually have a moment to think about how much fun the show is going to be. Sure it is a lot of work - but - it is also a chance for us to see so many of the stores we have been working with for 2 years now. I love to put a face to a name so it is always great. There is also time for me to catch up with fellow entrepreneurs and mompreneurs - share resources and hear how they have been doing. This is such a collaborative industry that I always learn a lot and enjoy the friendships that have grown. If you are in Vegas - drop by Booth 216 - see our new products and say hi! I am relaxed after an amazing trip to Southwest Harbor Maine. We are hitting the ground running - the next few weeks are going to be crazy! I am so glad that we had a fantastic trip because I feel energized and excited about the month ahead and not totally freaked out Lots to Say Baby will be launching TWO new products this month at the ABC Kids Expo Sept 13th. Stay tuned for details that may ‘leak out’ here in the next few weeks! The products look awesome and from the initial reaction by our mom’s panel I KNOW that you are going to go crazy for them too! We are putting the final touches on our website - SO excited! Then, - I am headed to Cambodia at the end of the month. My husband and I will be working at an orphanage called the David Center. With all the chaos going on it has been tough to get my head wrapped around this incredible experience but as it gets closer I can’t help but feel just how important this trip will be in our lives. I am so excited to publicly announce our Lots to Say Baby giving plan. Six months ago we started donating 4% of all pacifier sales to charities that help children and young adults escape from the dangerous conditions they currently live in. We are part of a global community. One where children don’t have access to clean water, food, education or a safe place to call home. These kids are victims of human trafficking; of drug trade and extreme poverty. They don’t have access to education. We can make a difference in the lives of kids around the world. We can help them build a foundation of strength by making sure they have food, a safe place to sleep and access to education. We can help them get free from human trafficking and drug trade. With that basic foundation in place..they can start to dream. Dream..just like we want our kids to dream..of the difference they can make. Of the future they can have. I don’t want Lots to Say Baby to ever just be about the baby pacifiers we design. It is core to me that we use our resources to reach children in this world (locally and across the world) that don’t have the basics they need to survive. This includes supporting micro loans for families to start small sustainable businesses, expanding access to University level education in Cambodia, and helping at-risk teens and young adults get out of environments that support drug use and human trafficking. Ok..seriously I know you have all heard this before but..WHERE does time go?! Can you believe it is JUNE? I last wrote in FEB? Crazy! We have been busy here at LTSB. Planning our launch of LaCoppia - our new pacifier/pacifier clip set (details soon..I promise!), getting ready for the ABC show (so close..yet so far away!) and waiting desperately for the latest shipment of Pull to Sound Alarm to arrive! I have just finished up the last touches to my charity giving press release which feels so good. I’ll be sure to post a link to it on here. We are really excited about it! So..the business has been doing just great. We are so happy we get to work with great stores all across the country and Canada - and a few friends abroad. I love every box that we pack and ship - knowing that soon a baby gets to have the comfort of his or her paci - while Mom and Dad have a laugh Speaking of babies and their paci comfort. Christmas was spent in Toronto (I love Oakville!). We rang in the new year here in Snoqualmie. Our town flooded and my sons school had to temporarily shut down leaving me frantically trying to prep for my trip to San Antonio during nap time :). Now we are getting settled in. Visitors are coming here and I have no travel scheduled for5 weeks! So…what has Lots to Say Baby been up to? January has been full of some exciting milestones for us!
